TRAVELLING DEEP

Often it is difficult to put into words those deep beliefs that have perhaps guided you through the twists and turn of life. Here are a few of mine and hopefully they will resonate…

*

I have learned, through personal experiment that if you advance with confidence in the direction your dreams take you, and aim to live the life you imagine, you can meet with incredible success.

You will leave some things behind and that is to be expected; you will pass invisible boundaries you never knew existed; new concepts will establish themselves in and around you. As you simplify your life, many aspects appear less complex – solitude becomes not solitude but something deeper; poverty becomes not poverty but richness of spirit; weakness becomes inner strength.

Building castles in the air is normal but they need not be a waste as that is where they should be. But, whatever you do, place strong foundations under them.

Until next time (and still travelling deep),

  1. I agree with all you say, P.S. and this is a splendid piece of thought-provoking and deep framework. If we dare to analyse our deep, inner thoughts, perhaps very few will arrive at a similar conclusion....certainly something for my children. My thanks,

  2. Mark, thank you. Perhaps it's an "age" thing... when one gets to 70+ there is more "inner demand" to put into words what has been learned over that period. Hope your children find it interesting.

  3. Excellent! I believe it can be an "age" thing, though not exclusively - it all often depends on one's character features and the courage to take the road less travelled. Nevertheless, I also believe children and people approaching maturity or even golden age in some cases do know very well what you are talking about here. Sadly, people in between those age groups nowadays often tend to be led astray (I don't know why I have used passive here, as I think everyone is free to choose their own path to follow) by various types of vanity. Perhaps, if the importance of these fundamentals of life were emphasised enough during childhood, people would find it more difficult to ignore them later on. Thank you Lucana

  4. Lucana thank you. Your comments about putting more emphasis on my views at an early age is one I can agree with entirely. Sadly this is a reflection on (at least in the UK) the concept of "school learning)... but Mark in New Zealand is promoting your views... more need to, in my opinion...
