It is one thing
to be rational, another to be wise. It by reason alone that one can receive
(and comprehend) a command, but obedience is a matter of faith. Just as it is
in the nature of reason to comprehend a command, it is wisdom that encourages
obedience. It is in the nature of a rational individual to receive and
comprehend a command, but wisdom is the function of something else – THE WILL.

REALITY – a
logical unease that spreads itself through the mind with something like an
explosive flash. To speak about it needs slowness and occupies time. The effect
is that, whilst the latter is moving forward, the logical unease withdraws into
itself secretly.

Speech is that
one thing that serves to show what is useful and what is harmful, and thus what
is right and what is wrong. The real difference between man and other animals
is that we alone possess the perception of good and evil, right and wrong, just
and unjust.

What a great
pity that after so many millennia, we have yet to appreciate fully the impact
of all the above…. I wonder when we will.
Until next time
