As you will probably know by now, I am not an aficionado of social networking; I have no need of being “a friend of a friend” and being 70 have no need of similar so-called “professional” sites (naming no names but you can probably guess!).
Opposite is a social network and I have no requirement to be “A” and within reach of “B” via the six degrees of separation; I can manage on my own, thank you. However, I recognise that many people, for their own reasoning, find this, in a way, a comforting arrangement.
However, I do have friends who I cherish for….well, for their friendship. So, unusually, I would like to introduce three of my most cherished friends. I have had the pleasure of knowing Andrea and Nikola for many years. During that time, we have experienced the good, the bad and the ugly and those experiences I believe have brought us closer in our friendship. We don’t always agree with one another and that’s also a valuable part of a deep and deepening friendship.
There is a third friend – their dog. I’m a great lover of all four legged animals (as well as the occasional two-legged variety) and I can say in all honesty that this trio – Andrea, Nikola and Bela – have a zest for life as it should be led. And that again deepens the friendship. (Also we are all part of the “shrinking, thinking class” – even Bela). Thus, I dedicate this blog to the three of them, in this way:
Until next time (but not quite as active as above),

A very unusual blog for you! You often come across as a man keeping "the sheep" under control - but now you have revealed your "softer" side. Nice touch!
