CONSEQUENCES

It is often said that for every action we take there is a reaction - and it may not always be the one we hope for or expect. As a result we tend to re-make the situation from something we cannot handle into something we can, thus avoiding (hopefully) the negatives we may have caused or met.

Thus, my point is:

You can evade reality.
But you cannot avoid the consequences of evading reality.

Very short and much to the point.....and do remember Einstein:

Until next time (without consequences),

  1. So trueP.S. Many things to remember in this one. I like the use of the Einstein quote to remind everyone that they have a duty to perform, not just expectations to be met.

  2. I think my country, Russia, is a good point for this. We have elections but nothing will change as a result. We have avoided reality and now our sins come back to haunt us like bad ghosts.

  3. Thanks, Anonymous (NZ?). People do tend to forget their obligations and focus only on their expectations. My opinion is they are two sides of the same coin

  4. I fully agree with this, P.S. A great blog post!
Here are some more quotes on the topic:
You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.
    Abraham Lincoln
    And also:
One's philosophy is not best expressed in words; it is expressed in the choices one makes... and the choices we make are ultimately our responsibility.
    Eleanor Roosevelt

  5. Thanks, Anonymous from Russia. I have read of the events in your country and can only hope that at some stage people do wake up to what is happening - and what might happen in the future.

  6. Lucana, thank you. Of the two quotes, I prefer Eleanor Roosevelt as it seems to convey a deeper sense than that from Mr. Lincoln!
