IT'S ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THIS.....

You think so? Then consider the following:

The only standard we experience today is impermanence so it's becomes very easy to believe that the world in which we live has always been as it is now….

The culture within which you live has always had a similar standing and technology has always allowed certain kinds of interactions and is always improving....

Real estate values rise from decade to decade...

A “job” has always been the standard way of making a living.....

People in positions of power, influence and authority have always had very high levels of education (and from famous universities).....

When we accept that almost everything in our “created world” is just a few generations old it makes it a lot easier to deal with the fact that the assumptions we make about our future are, generally, wrong.

And the stress we experience because of change is an entire and complete waste of time and our precious energies.

Until next time (as it's always been like this),

  1. Very thought-provoking P.S. and I agree we take too much at face value without considering "the past". My immediate reaction is "how will a future generation manage without understanding the background to the world they will inherit from us".. and that is something YOU might like to write on (for us)....

  2. Extremely interesting and sadly forgotten. Someone has recently told me. "White will always be white and black will always be black. There is no change. Always the same principles and always the same people." I was puzzled at the time but I am slowly beginning to get the point. We are lead to believe in change and adapting to it by doing this and that. The less we use our grey cells, the easier it is for us to believe it and just vegetate. Thank you for keeping us awake!

  3. Hi Anonymous and thank you. The question you pose is more than interesting - it's fundamental in my opinion. I shall give some thought to it - it covers so much ground and probably too much for a single blog. Keep reading.

  4. Lucana - thank you for a most interesting comment and the point you make about using our grey cells is valuable. Looking at the "vegetative" process, this concerns me, especially in the context of the reply from New Zealand and future generations. Opening minds is tough but not impossible. Change will always happen - it's up to the individual to accept (as a vegetable) or to be a fundamental part of a positive movement.
