REGIMENTATION – 2 – IS THIS YOUR LIFE?

If you have not read the first part of this two-part blog from 4 July, may I suggest you do so as this part will not make very much sense otherwise. Whereas part 1 was “general”, this one is “specific”.

Pete Seeger, an iconic American musician and activist from the 1940's, 50’s and 60's, sang this song which, to me, showed his shrewd eye for the banality, tedium and boredom of life for many individuals; perhaps it was their “dream” – perhaps they were forced (expected) by peer pressure to follow this style.... if you want to listen to Pete singing the words of a tedious existence and watch the video, go to
You will see a box with a house – click on this…..

If this is you and you are happy with it, OK; if it’s you and you’re not happy with it, DO something…or are you like the blind squirrel (from 25 January)?

Until next time (and outside a little box),

  1. Very nice! We should be always questioning everything! People are usually "comfortably numb" (Pink Floyd). It's easier that way.

  2. Lucana - super comment. Haven't heard the song you refer to, but it is SO appropriate. Will check it out. So right - comfortably numb is precisely the point!
